“Growing in spiritual formation and helping others do the same is one of my passions. The church must make a difference in the world and,” he added, “fresh expressions of ministry must be explored to reach those who are not in the church.” ~ Rev. Todd Bardin
Rev. Dr. Todd Bardin comes to us from Rockledge United Methodist in Rockledge, Florida, where he has served for the past six years. Rev. Bardin received a Bachelor of Music degree in 1993 then was awarded a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Seminary in Orlando in 2013. He continued his pursuit of a doctoral degree from Drew University, which he received in 2018. He was ordained as a full elder in the Florida Conference of The United Methodist Church in 2018.
Pastor Todd writes “I love using the labyrinth as a tool to connect ‘the spiritual but not religious person’ to the traditional church. I have a heart for people who have been hurt by the church or who are disconnected from the church. I recently learned about a respite ministry and am discerning how this could serve my community in a positive and needed way.”
Todd’s wife, Carmel, is a librarian and they have three children. Matthew is completing his master’s degree in music composition at The Boston Conservatory. This fall he will begin a PhD program at Louisiana State University. Michael is a freshman at Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in Melbourne where he is studying computer science. Melanie, their youngest, will be a high school junior this fall.
