For over 25 years, Trinity’s Music Makers Community Children’s Choir has brought uplifting musical dramas to worship services on special Sundays in the fall and spring seasons. Music Makers is an after-school program open to any child from second through fifth grade. Children do not need to be members of Trinity to participate, and our faith-based program welcomes public, private, and home-schooled children!
During the school year, children meet Monday afternoons with a group of dedicated, screened volunteers from 3:00-5:00 p.m. (new time due to Volusia County school time change) for rehearsal, snacks, and crafts. (No worries! We make allowances for different dismissal times between schools.) Time for homework is provided. Rehearsals take place in our Fellowship Hall, and registration includes a tee shirt, snacks, crafts, book, CD, and the popular Cast Pizza Party following the final dress rehearsal. Upon completion of the 11-week program, children will present a full-length musical with scenery, costumes and choreography at both Sunday worship services (8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.)
Music Makers Community Children’s Choir also meets in the summer for a week-long music camp. Does your child like to sing and act? Are you looking for a summer camp that is faith-based? Every summer, “Miss Conya” invites children who are in 2nd through 5th grades to rehearse for another great musical production complete with scenery, props, costumes and make-up! Camp is usually held during a week in July from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily. The musical will be performed in front of a live audience at the end of the week during both the 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. services at church. Call the Church Office at (386) 734-4425 or email “Miss Conya” at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
