Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, April 14th and continues through Easter, April 21st.
On Palm Sunday, our Music, Drama and Worship teams will collaborate on a special presentation. “Were You There” is a dramatic musical that incorporates monologues of those who encountered Jesus during His life and ministry. The characters will share their stories and there will be special music to go along with their “testimonies”.
The characters will be the same for both services, but the music will be contemporary in nature for the 8:30 service and traditional for the 11:00 service. The characters include: witnesses in the crowd on Palm Sunday; Disciples John and Peter; James; a high priest; Pilate, Simon of Cyrene; a Centurian Guard and Mary Magdalene. Come hear their encounters with Jesus during the last week of His life and ministry.
Thursday, April 18th is Maundy Thursday (also known as Holy Thursday). This day is possibly one of the most important, complex, and profound days of celebration in the church. The disciples are gathered for the annual Passover meal and Seder worship service, but Jesus offers himself as the Passover sacrifice, the Sacrificial Lamb, and teaches that followers of the Way will have hope in his resurrection.
Our Maundy Thursday, our worship service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Communion will also be served. The public is invited to attend. Reservations are required. Call or email the church office with your RSVP at (386) 734-4425 or email@example.com.
OUR GOOD FRIDAY “STATIONS OF THE CROSS” EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED.
On Easter Sunday, April 21, come with a joy-filled heart as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. The music is guaranteed to stir your heart, mind and soul! Choose between our Sunrise Service at 6:45 a.m. on the Plymouth Avenue property and both regular services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. In-between services, Trinity Youth will be preparing a large, hot breakfast for anyone and everyone. (A suggested donation of $5 per person will help to raise funds for them to go to church camp and a mission trip this summer.)
