An event every week that begins at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until April 15, 2020
Lectio Divina, latin for “divine reading,” is an ancient practice of praying the Scriptures that dates back to the 3rd century. During Lectio Divina, the practitioner listens to the text of the Bible and then, in silence, meditates on what it might mean. The method of Lectio Divina includes moments of reading (lectio), reflecting on (meditatio), responding to (oratio), and resting in (contemplatio) the Word of God with the aim of nourishing and deepening one’s relationship with the Divine.
This time of prayer will be weekly on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. starting March 4 (except when there is a Taizé Service). We will meet online using Zoom, due to pandemic concerns. No preparation or experience needed. The six-week course ends during Holy Week. To join this weekly prayer group, use the REGISTER link above. Pastor Todd will send you an email link for the next prayer meeting using Zoom.
Be the first!
