Rob and Dee Miller recently moved to DeLand from Rockville, Maryland and have made their home in Victoria Hills. They are the proud parents of two sons and five grandchildren. Rob and Dee began their life journey together in 1972. Dee was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she lived with her family until she was fifteen, at which time her family moved to Rockville. Rob was born in Nasawadox, Virginia on the Eastern Shore where he lived with his family until he was seven. His father, who was in the Air Force, received orders to go to Germany which was the first of many moves. When his father retired from the Air Force in 1969, the family settled in Glenmont, Maryland just several miles from Dee’s family. And, as only God can arrange, both families attended the same church where Rob and Dee met while participating in the United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) program.
Their life journey has taken them to many parts of the world, as a family and as a couple. They are excited to see what adventures their new town and church have to offer. (And we are equally excited to discover the many gifts and graces they will share with us!)
If you are interested in knowing more about how to join our church, the best way is to simply contact our minister, Reverend Dale Golden. “Pastor Dale” (the name he prefers!) will be more than happy to explain the process – whether you are a member of another United Methodist church, another denomination, or have no religious affiliation. Pastor Dale and other pastoral leaders at Trinity conduct a six-week course titled “United Methodist 101” which will give prospective members a history lesson in how the Methodist Church started, as well as guide and lead attendees through the process.
