Whether you are a new or growing Christian, we offer a variety of programs to help you on your journey of faith. Adult and children’s Sunday classes from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. are held in various locations in the church. We also host in-depth series of topical studies on Sunday evenings at various times during the year. The popular Alpha program, designed for persons new to the church, is offered occasionally (based on demand), and several weekly Bible study groups for both women and men are available.
At Trinity, we pledge to feed the spiritual soul of any young person who enters our doors, incorporating God’s Word as our highest priority. Sunday classes are held for toddlers through senior high students and includes a nursery for infants. “Sunday School” takes place from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning (see bullets below.)
We introduce Jesus to children and youth in a fun, structured environment where children are encouraged to grow in Christ. Our classes are held in rooms that are clean and orderly, and we use age-appropriate Bible-based curricula filled with activities, lessons, singing, questions and answers and interactive discussions.
Wednesday Women meet 9 to 11 a.m. every Wednesday, offering opportunities for support and growth through lessons focusing on women’s issues with a Christian perspective.
The Wednesday Men’s Group meets 9 to 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday mornings, exploring the meaning of books from both the Old and New Testaments.
Women’s Wednesday Evening Bible Study Group meets 7-8:30 p.m. in private homes.
For more information on each Bible study group and the leader’s name and number, contact the Church Office at (386) 734-4425 or email Cindy Fox, Adult Education Team Leader.
Trinity’s United Methodist Women’s (UMW) circles are a way to meet other women, develop life-long friendships, and stay connected for that all-too-important love, care and support for one another. The UMW has three circles: Susanna (an evening circle that meets the second Monday evening of every month at 6:30 p.m. in private homes;) Sarah (a large daytime circle that meets the first Tuesday in the Wesley Room at 1:00 p.m.;) and Priscilla (a daytime circle that meets the first Monday – usually at the church at 10:30 a.m.)
The Women’s Ministry is dedicated to serving others outside the walls of the church in the mission field. They are particularly interested in advocating for social justice, with emphasis on protecting the lives and rights of women and children. In 2015, Susanna Circle wrote a grant and raised matching funds to create the popular “Sneakers 4 Kids” campaign which raised enough money to purchase new back-to-school shoes for needy children at our partner school Citrus Grove Elementary. In the summer of 2016, members of this circle hosted a major public forum on “Human Trafficking” that made a tremendous impact on everyone that attended.
Every fall, the UMW circles, along with other women in the church, host the annual Fall Festival to raise funds for mission and outreach projects. The festival takes place on the first Saturday in October from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm. Volunteers are always needed to accept in-kind donations that will be sold. Donated items such as crafts, baked goods, toys, small appliances, antiques and collectibles, plants and jewelry will be sold.
