Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, March 25th with two services at 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Join the triumphant throng as we celebrate and remember the day that Christ entered into Jerusalem. Pastor Dale’s messsage will encourage us to pause in the moment and focus on the importance of Jesus.
The week continues as we worship together on Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday). This day is possibly one of the most important, complex, and profound days of celebration in the church. The disciples are gathered for the annual Passover meal and Seder worship service, but Jesus offers himself as the Passover sacrifice, the Sacrificial Lamb, and teaches that followers of the Way will have hope in his resurrection.
This special service will start at 6:00 p.m. with a wonderful Passover meal, reliving the Exodus of the Jews in the Seder and reliving and participating in the Eucharist. Communion will also be served. The public is invited to attend. Reservations are required. Call or email the church office with your RSVP at (386) 734-4425 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
On Good Friday, March 30th, come to our future church property, on Plymouth Avenue just west of 15-A/Spring Garden Avenue, between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. to experience the Stations of Cross outdoors. The Stations of the Cross or the Way of the Cross, also known as Via Crucis, refers to a series of images depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion with accompanying prayers. The stations grew out of imitations of Via Dolorosa in Jerusalem which is believed to be the actual path Jesus walked to Mount Calvary. The object of the stations is to enable you to contemplate all that Christ experienced that day. You may walk, pray, and worship at your own pace.
On Easter Sunday, come with a joy-filled heart as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord. The music is guaranteed to stir your heart, mind and soul! Choose between our Sunrise Service at 6:45 a.m. on the Plymouth Avenue property and both regular services at 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. In-between services, Trinity’s Youth will be preparing a large, hot breakfast for anyone and everyone. (A suggested donation of $5 per person will help to raise funds for them to go to church camp and a mission trip this summer.)
