The fun, interactive Music Makers program is open to any child from second through fifth grade, and children do not need to be church members to participate. Upon completion of the program, children present a full-length musical with scenery, costumes and choreography at both Sunday worship services (8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.) You may wish to view Sample Video of a recent Music Makers performance.
Our next MM production will be a musical titled, The Tale of Three Trees. It’s a story about three trees who aspire to great things. One wanted to be a treasure chest, one wanted to be a great ship, and one wanted to stay in the forest and point towards God. They each did those things, but not in the way they planned. But God used them in a mighty way, just like he can use us!
The previous Music Makers’ performance was All About That Baby! , a traditional Nativity story with a twist: Talking and Rapping Sheep and a loving shepherd, “Nathaniel”, who can communicate with them. There is plenty of fun, song and humor in this unique musical drama with an important message for all.
For over 20 years, our community Music Makers have brought uplifting musical drama to worship services on special Sundays throughout the year. Children meet Monday afternoons with a group of screened volunteers from 2:30-4:30 p.m. for rehearsal, snacks, and crafts. Time for homework is provided.
