2017 Christmas Events

Make plans to come home to a Trinity Christmas – one of DeLand’s friendliest congregations!

Trinity United Methodist Church, located at 306 W. Wisconsin Avenue in downtown DeLand, will present its annual Christmas Candlelight Concerts on Friday, December 15th and Saturday, December 16th at 7:00 p.m. nightly. The title of the work to be performed is “Celebrate the Wonder: His Promised Arrival”. Both concerts are free and open to the public. Join us as together we celebrate Jesus’ birth and experience the wonder of grace.

On December 21, a special Blue Christmas service will be held on Thursday, December 21 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Wesley Room. This special service will be held for anyone who may be suffering from loss, grief or trauma. Some people may be grieving for a loved one with whom they shared Christmases past. Some may be going through a divorce, abusive situation or other family trauma. Still others simply may be stressed because of holiday expectations. If you are simply “not ready” to deal with the stress of the holidays, consider attending this service.

On Sunday morning, December 24th, we will have one combined worship service at 10:00 am, preceded by the fellowship time beginning at 9:30 a.m. We are asking anyone and everyone to bring some Christmas cookies to share during fellowship.

Later that afternoon, Trinity’s Youth will be putting out our beautiful luminaries in preparation for our three Christmas Eve services:

Children’s Candlelight at 5:30 p.m. featuring our Puppetual Motion puppets in storytelling fun!
Family Candlelight at 7:00 p.m. beautifully designed, especially for families
Candlelight with Communion at 9:00 p.m. a traditional service with beautiful music, candles and liturgy.

There will be no services held on Christmas Day. All events are open to the public. For more information, call the Church Office at (386) 734-4425. To view the month of December and all of these events at a glance, click HERE to go to our Calendar of Events.
